Your strategy is clear

But that is not where the work is going

Too much is running at once. So your strategy waits behind the current work. Even when that is no longer relevant.

Every organisation chooses what to start. Almost none of them chooses what to stop.
The list only grows.

More gets done by doing less. Give what matters room, and it moves.

That is what I help you do: free up space for what matters most, and make sure the choice actually holds.

When choices are not made

Some initiatives keep running long after the strategic case is gone. The system is simply not designed to ask whether they should still exist.

In two portfolios, one question freed up capacity for work that did move the strategy. Within months, the average lead time came down from 34 to 31 weeks.

When choices do not reach the work

A public-sector IT organisation introduced a new strategy. Leadership wanted traction: a clear view of how teams could contribute to it.

There were plenty of KPIs and milestones, but no clear line from strategy to daily work, and vice versa.

In working sessions with approximately sixty people across multiple teams, we reduced a long list of goals to five clear objectives. Teams worked out where they could contribute. That clarified objectives at every level, restored the line between strategy and daily work, and gave people a real sense of ownership, because they helped define it.

Ready to move what matters?

One conversation is enough to see where your strategy is stuck, and what it would take to get it moving again.
It takes thirty minutes, and it is free.

I’m Gerard Berends. I trained as a physicist, and one habit stuck: I keep asking whether what I’m looking at holds up, and I don’t let go until it does.

I help organisations do less, so what matters most can finally move.
